Executive Summary
Stephen concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial and real estate lending, loan workout and restructuring, commercial real estate transactions, and general corporate matters. He has represented local, regional, and national financial institutions, receivers and private investors in a broad range of financing and transactional matters. Stephen has extensive experience counseling lenders and borrowers in the structuring,negotiation, and documentation of secured and unsecured credit facilities, including syndicated and single-lender transactions. His lending practice covers a variety of industries, with notableexperience in healthcare, construction, private equity, food and beverage, and hospitality. In addition to his lending work, Stephen advises clients in connection with the acquisition,financing, management and disposition of commercial and residential investment properties. Heis valued by clients for his thorough understanding of complex transactions and his practical, business-oriented approach to problem solving. Before returning to Scott & Kraus, Stephen practiced with a large international law firm, where he gained substantial experience representing institutional lenders and corporate clients in complex financing, restructuring and real estate-related matters.
